Gentlemen,
Just wanted to take the time to thank all who helped run, supported, and contributed prizes to the NRC match at Cody. The shoot wouldn't have happened without you and the only bad thing was Uncle Larry whipping me in the Polecat Porter match and winning the $300 donated as first prize by Lonnie Bassett. All I can say is-"Next year!"
Thanks again and hopefully we will see more folks next year...especially them Ohio boys!

I contributed. I didn't like it none, but I contributed. Hope to change that one of these days. This giving and not receiving just isn't right.

Thanks are due to Wyoming Armory for hosting the burgers, beans & beer.
Doris and I enjoyed visiting with all that were there and are already looking forward to our next trip to Cody.

| Yep, the Ohio men and wives and flames and all are hoping to visit Cody next year. Unfortunately this "Buckeye" promised his daughters a trip of their choice, so we cruised to Bermuda, and suffered through that while you guys was shootin. Remember, the welcome goes both ways, though. You all are welcome to some black powder shooting at Canal Fulton, Ohio, over the 4th of July weekend.Prizes include laughter, bullhooey, and more lyin and braggin than average folks could generally suffer in a weekend. I Know for sure it would be a worthwhile venture. |

Sorry that donation was late but I have a good excuse. I moved from Casper to Houston the 13th of May and it just got real confusing for a couple of weeks. BUT, next year 2011, I'm going to donate 500.00 to the winner of the Polecat Porter and I promise it will be sent on time.

Joe,
I'm thinkin' we might see some of them boys from Ohio...I've heard that they know how to shoot those slug rifles.
Of course, we all have to beat Uncle Larry and that is much easier said than done. Might be a good time to let the old Gove rifle have it's head and see how fast it can run.
Isn't it amazing how the injection of capital stimulates interest.
Already plotting for next year,

And speaking of the involvement of capital gains on the level of focus, concentration, etc. at the firing line, can anyone imagine what the infusion of a gift prize of 500 shares of Caterpillar stock would do? CAT stock closed at just under $60/share today.

Iron,
Do you have a plan to put your imagination to work and bring your involvement to this elevated level?
I did the math........... poop on the hay business!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I always have a lot of ideas to test out; some of them get elevated and work out good, some stay fairly close to square #1, and some them go directly overboard. But that certainly would be an elevate level of prizes to where it might bring the shooting sports almost to front page news. At least up to the level of some of the fishing tournaments. Might make some serious game faces on the firing line, too. Probably don't throw the hay business overboard just yet; 1 in the hand or 2 in the bush, ya know
More ideas. I wonder if Cody is ready to have a firing line and target backers a half mile long? Who scores the targets? What's for lunch for 500 shooters?
